we are getting married!

And we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
We will update this page with more info as we get closer.

Monday, October 4th, 2021 at Elm Bank in Wellesley, MA

  • Tish and Ketubah Signing - 3:30pm.

  • Ceremony - 4:30pm.

  • Cocktail Hour and Dinner to Follow.

  • Post-Wedding Sheva Brachot (Jewish Wedding Afterparty) will be held in San Rafael, CA the following weekend, Sunday the 9th.

Out of an abundance of caution for our loved ones and those helping to make this joyous occasion happen, we ask all attendees to be fully-vaccinated (2 week post-final shot) from the COVID-19 virus upon arrival to Boston.

We are paying attention to the constantly evolving pandemic situation. We will keep this site updated as much as we can, and if there are any major changes we will proactively be in touch. Please make your plans and RSVP with your optimistic expectations. Should your own plans or comfort level change, we will completely understand. Please just let us know and we will toast together the next time we meet.

dance with us!

Our amazing Riverdale cousins prepared a video which you can watch and learn a dance they made for us! Watch it now and join in at the wedding!

registry

We are eager for you to join us in Boston, or Northern California, or somewhere else down the road to celebrate together. If you'd like to get us a gift, we have set up two lovely registries with some home essentials to help us kick-start our new home. (Click the names “Heath Ceramics” and “Zola” to be redirected to the proper site).

Our first registry is through Heath Ceramics - a legendary Bay Area design company that manufactures some of the most beautiful pottery in the world. If and when you find yourself in the Bay Area - we recommend making a day trip to one of their factories in the MIssion District where they share a building with another local mainstay - Tartine.

Our second registry is through Zola and is a combination of lots of different household goods as well as some gorgeous art we would love in our home.

In Jewish tradition, within the doorway of a new home a swatch of unpainted wall is left as a memorial for the Beit HaMikdash, the Jewish People's holy-home in Jerusalem that was destroyed, causing exile two thousand years ago. It is tangible art that symbolizes a challenging dichotomy - that even in the most holy and whole home, there resides an acknowledgement that pain and brokenness exists in the world. We humbly request that if you have the ability and are planning on buying us a gift to consider instead making a charitable donation to a meaningful cause. One such cause is Glide Memorial in San Francisco where the Mercer family's Rabbi, Michael Lezak, serves as a Spiritual Leader. Glide is a transformative community seeking to commandeer the systems of oppression that exist in our country to create a more loving, more humane, and more just San Francisco.

Staying in Boston

If you are coming from out of town we have put together a non-exhaustive list of hotel options available here. Boston has a tremendous amount of AirBnB's, VRBO's, and hotels so there are many options not listed here. Keep in mind there is a possible of one, potentially two, Major League Baseball playoff games occurring the weekend of October 4th in Boston, those games will be confirmed in the next two weeks, so hotel and transportation costs may begin to rise.

Getting to the Venue

We have organized a site for folks to sign up for carpools on the day of, we anticipate there will be many folks coming from Cambridge and Newton so if you are looking for a way to get to the venue in Wellesley, take a gander here. If you are comfortable and able to offer rides, you can do so on the same website.

Attire

The event is Semi-Formal and Festive - meaning suits, dresses, pant-suits with room for color!

covid testing

We request that everyone has a negative covid test before attending our wedding. Here are a few ways to get a test in Boston:

Beacon appointments are the easiest way to get free testing. They release appointments three days ahead.
A few other options for PCR tests:

  • CVS and Walgreens both offer free PCR testing (you do have to give your insurance info but there is no out-of-pocket cost). Appointments are limited here as well, but hopefully provide some more options.

  • CIC Health in Newton and Cambridge have a lot of availability, but the cost is $80.

And of course, there is still the BinaxNOW at home test, which is readily available at stores like CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart for around $25. (We’re recommending Binax, as the Ellum rapid test has a higher rate of false positives.)
